Anyone interested in giving badminton a try is welcome to join us, from beginner to expert.
Member participation is up to 15 players per week.
Members are all keen to be fit and play can be quite energetic. We would like to expand and would welcome beginners and experienced players. Paul offers beginners some basic coaching. We can lend you a racket by prior arrangement, so the only thing you need are shoes suitable for court use.
We book courts by contracting with Britannia Leisure Centre each quarter of the year (13 weeks). We usually have three courts for two hours – if you haven’t been before, please contact group leader Paul Lister before attending. You can send a message to Paul at the address above.
There is a £6 charge for each session for casual players, payable on the day. Regular players pay a subscription for each quarter, the cost of which varies with the number of sessions planned. The subscription is expected to be in the range of £40 to £45. This works out at approximately £3 per two hour session.
